When PRECO Crews are on Your Property

Peace River Electric Cooperative employees and contractors work throughout our service territory, including on the rights-of-way and easements, and across your private property and driveways. Our efforts to ensure reliable power for you and your neighbors sometimes means we must access or cross your property.

You’ll see us:

  • Making routine repairs
  • Restoring power outages
  • Replacing meters
  • Trimming trees in rights-of-way
  • Locating buried utilities for construction and digging projects
  • Working to upgrade poles, wires, transformers and equipment
  • Inspecting lines, power poles, transformers and equipment

Routine field work is performed 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. However, during power outages, you may see our line workers any time of day or night. If you have concerns regarding line crews working on your property, please call PRECO toll-free at (800) 282-3824.

If access to your property is restricted by a locked gate, please contact us to learn how we can add one of our locks on your chain for shared entry. Every effort is made to avoid property damage or unnecessary intrusion. We thank you for your cooperation.
