GenerLink
Hurricanes and other strong storms can cause prolonged power outages. While a large number of homeowners turn to portable generators at times like these, many lack a safe and economical way to connect a generator to their home.
Peace River Electric Cooperative offers GenerLink™, a device installed on the electric meter that allows you to easily connect a generator to your home when necessary. Simply plug in the generator and use your home’s main circuit panel to select the breakers and appliances you want to operate based on the generator capacity.
Note: GenerLink is only compatible with a 200-amp service. Members with solar PV or multi-dwelling housing/building meter sockets are not eligible.
Safe
The Generlink device automatically disconnects your home from PRECO’s power grid while your generator is connected and producing power. It’s the safe alternative to risky do-it-yourself solutions that can be hazardous for you, your family and PRECO personnel working to restore power.
Simple
GenerLink is easily installed behind the electric meter by a certified PRECO technician in less than an hour. Once installed, you simply plug your generator into GenerLink.
Flexible
With GenerLink, you have total flexibility and control. You select the circuit or appliances you want to run using your home’s circuit panel. Unlike other generator connections, you can change your appliance selections at any time using GenerLink.
Affordable
GenerLink is competitively priced and affordable.
Pricing: Generlink, 40-amp, $925, plus tax and a one-time $75 installation fee.
The prices above include a standard 20-foot cord. Longer cords are available and may be purchased from GenerLink.
Generlink units are non-returnable. All sales are final.
