Could Your Photo Be Our Next Cover?

Could Your Photo Be Our Next Cover?

Every day across PRECO’s service area, there are moments worth capturing — a fishing line cast at sunrise, boots lined up at the front door after a long day, a county fair lit up against the night sky.

Those moments tell the story of who we are.

That’s why PRECO’s annual photo contest is back, and we’re inviting members and their families to help us showcase the character, charm and natural beauty of the communities we serve.

One standout image will be featured on the cover of Florida Currents — and yes, there are prizes, too.

Show Us What Makes This Home

You don’t need expensive equipment or formal training. If you’ve got an eye for detail and a camera — even the one in your pocket — you’re ready.

Think about the scenes that define life here:

  • A quiet pasture just before a summer storm rolls in
  • Kids racing bicycles down a dirt road
  • A front porch gathering at dusk
  • Local festivals, hometown ballgames or weekend markets

We’re looking for authentic, local images that reflect the spirit of PRECO communities.

What’s at Stake

In addition to being featured in Florida Currents and other PRECO publications, this year’s winners will receive electric bill credits:

  • Best of Show: $100 electric bill credit
  • Up to six additional winners: $50 electric bill credit each

Entry Guidelines

Photos must be original and taken within PRECO’s service area, including Brevard, DeSoto, Hardee, Highlands, Hillsborough, Indian River, Manatee, Osceola, Polk and Sarasota counties.

To qualify:

  • Submit photos in vertical (portrait) orientation only. Horizontal images will not be accepted.
  • Keep editing minimal.
  • Limit of three entries per person.

For best print quality:

  • High-resolution JPEG format
  • 300 ppi, approximately 8x10 inches
  • Minimum file size of 1MB

The contest is open to PRECO members and their families. Employees are not eligible.

Make It Count

Check back next year and your snapshot could become the next cover — and a lasting image of the communities we’re proud to serve.

So step outside, look around and capture what makes this place feel like home.
