Peace River Electric Cooperative is looking for students to serve as delegates for the 2025 Youth Tour. 4 student representatives will be sponsored with a visit to Florida’s capital city for a 2-day, overnight conference in Tallahassee in February.
Students will learn about the cooperative business model and Florida’s legislative process. The Youth Tour includes a visit to the House of Representatives’ Chambers and a session in the Supreme Court. Then, if chosen to be a D.C. delegate, you will join more than 1,800 young people from across the U.S. to participate in the Electric Cooperative Youth Tour next summer.
Students tour Washington, D.C., meet legislators on Capitol Hill, learn how our system of government works, and discover the importance of electric cooperatives in the local community. Peace River Electric Cooperative sponsors 2 students for this week-long adventure, all-expenses-paid.
