Individuals and families may apply to Operation Round Up. You are not required to receive power from PRECO, but you must reside in a home that exists within a zip code served by the co-op.
501(c) nonprofit organizations anywhere in the 10 counties PRECO serves, including Brevard, DeSoto, Hardee, Highlands, Hillsborough, Indian River, Manatee, Osceola, Polk, and Sarasota, may also apply. Funds are restricted to food, shelter, clothing, medical needs, or the environment.
College scholarships are available to graduating high school seniors, current college students, and degree-seeking adults of any age. Applicant’s permanent address must be in a home served by Peace River Electric Cooperative.

Donating to Operation Round Up is completely voluntary for Peace River Electric Cooperative (PRECO) members. Participating consumers allow PRECO to round up each month’s electric bill to the next dollar. Funds are then used to help qualified individuals, families, and organizations in PRECO’s local 10-county service territory.
Each month, members contribute a few cents to a charitable fund. These monies are controlled by the Foundation’s independent and voluntary Board of Directors.
Yes. All applicants are restricted to the 10 counties served by PRECO.
The average annual contribution is $6. That’s less than 1 fast food combo meal per year.
Individuals and families must reside in a home that exists in a zip code where PRECO power lines exist. Any nonprofit organization in PRECO’s 10-county service area may apply and is not restricted by zip code.
The Operation Round Up foundation funds can be requested for such causes as emergency assistance, disaster relief, service projects, local charities, health needs, college scholarships, and more.
Peace River Electric Cooperative (PRECO) receives no financial benefit from this program. Your co-op only acts as a collection agent for the Operation Round Up Foundation. Your cooperative formed Operation Round Up to help fulfill our mission of improving the quality of life in the local communities we serve.
